CORONA DEL MAR, CA — March 28, 2024.  Miramar Brands Group, Inc. announced today that it has formally resolved a trademark dispute concerning its federally registered MIRAMAR® trademarks (U.S. Reg. Nos. 3891117 and 3891118), which have been used continuously in commerce for nearly four decades across apparel, sports, lifestyle, and global brand properties.

The matter involved a Cancellation Proceeding before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), initiated in 2023 by Caruso Property Management Company, Inc., owner of the Rosewood Miramar Beach resort in Montecito, California. After extensive proceedings and negotiation, the parties reached an amicable resolution and executed a mutual coexistence agreement.

As part of the resolution, Caruso withdrew its Cancellation Action (Cancellation No. 92073885), and both parties acknowledged the long-standing commercial use and continued federal protection of the MIRAMAR® brand in Class 25 and related categories.

Miramar Brands Group continues to expand its iconic MIRAMAR®, Queen & King of the Beach®, Queen & King of the Court® and Queen & King of the Snow®  portfolio across global sports, retail, hospitality, and entertainment channels. The company maintains an active trademark enforcement program internationally, including continuous protection of its registered marks via the USPTO, EUIPO, Amazon Brand Registry, Meta Rights Protection, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
