Standing 6-foot-8, Dutch Olympian Stefan Boermans has established himself as one of the world's premier beach volleyball blockers. Representing the Netherlands alongside Yorick de Groot at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Boermans advanced undefeated through pool play and the Round of 16 before finishing fifth. His international résumé also includes a fifth-place finish at the 2023 World Championships and a silver medal at the 2021 European Championships.
Boermans is a two-time Gstaad champion, winning one of beach volleyball's most prestigious events in 2021 and returning to the top of the podium in 2026 with Alexander Brouwer. In the 2026 final, he delivered 10 blocks, two aces and a match-high 31 points to complete a three-set victory over Americans Trevor Crabb and Chase Budinger. His other major accomplishments include Beach Pro Tour Elite titles in Doha in 2024 and Brasília in 2025, multiple Elite-level podium finishes around the world, and four Dutch national championships—including three consecutive titles from 2024 through 2026.
Combining extraordinary size, athleticism and competitive intensity, Boermans represents the modern international game and a new generation of Miramar champions.
