We began our Miramar® x AAU® History and partnership together back in 1925, when our founders grandfather qualified through the Amateur Athletic Union for the US Olympic Team.  Vernon William Ascher and his friends at Georgetown University qualified in Track and Field for the 4x440 Mile relay team and the 440 Yard run with World and American records at the Penn Relays.  The movie Chariots of Fire is loosely written about their lives.
